What is the significance of the ALS progression rate (ALSPR)?
The ALS progression rate (ALSPR) is one of several prognostic factors of ALS and is therefore important for the individual assessment of the course of the disease. Furthermore, this parameter is of great importance for clinical research, as most studies on new drugs are aimed at slowing down the progression of the disease – recognizable by a reduced ALSPR. This makes the ALSPR the key endpoint in clinical trials
