What is a transfer aid?

In the case of severe muscle weakness or spasticity, a patient’s ability to change position and location (transfer) is limited or impossible. Furthermore, the transfer is associated with high physical strain for the caregivers. Various transfer and lift systems are available for transferring from bed to wheelchair or from the living area to the sanitary area (sliding boards, bath tub lift, mobile transfer lift, ceiling lift, stair lift, wheelchair lift). The planning, selection and installation is carried out by aid experts in collaboration with neurologists and other doctors as well as physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
