The Research Training Group of the German Research Foundation (DFG) “Service-oriented architectures for the integration of software-supported processes using the example of healthcare and medical technology (SOAMED)” has been researching fundamental concepts, algorithms and methods for the service-oriented development of complex software systems with a focus on applications in medicine since 2010.
In a second phase (SOAMED-2), the research program focuses on fundamental problems of modeling, development, integration, operation and analysis of service-oriented software systems in medical application areas. AmbulanzPartner provides the concrete application reference for the research in SOAMED-2. AmbulanzPartner uses a service- and process-oriented software system that is unique in the German healthcare system and is therefore of particular interest to the SOAMED researchers.
Four institutions are involved in the research training group: Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (host university), Technische Universität Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering at the University of Potsdam. The project will begin on October 01, 2014.
