More and more people with ALS are receiving their prescriptions electronically—whether through their ALS outpatient clinic or their primary care physicians.
With the ALS app, you can fill your e-prescriptions directly at your specialized ALS pharmacy. By doing so, you help strengthen the proven specialized care for people with ALS while also supporting ALS research into drug therapies.

To date, nearly 150 patients have used the e-prescription feature in the ALS app to fill their e-prescriptions. We would like to remind you of this option and invite you to use the ALS app to redeem your e-prescriptions.
Redeem e-prescriptions via the ALS app
If your doctor issues e-prescriptions, you can send them directly to your ALS pharmacy through the ALS app.
Once you’ve linked your electronic health card, your available e-prescriptions will appear in the app and can be sent to the ALS pharmacy.
How to Use the E-Prescription Feature
Your available e-prescriptions will be displayed and can be sent to the ALS pharmacy.
- Open the ALS app and sign in.
- On the home page, select the “E-Prescription” section.
- Link your electronic health card to the app.
- Your available e-prescriptions will be displayed and can be sent to the ALS pharmacy.
If your ALS outpatient clinic does not yet issue e-prescriptions
Nothing is changing for you at this time. Your prescriptions will continue to be forwarded to the ALS Pharmacy as usual.
You are not yet participating in the ALS-Aptheque program?
Before you can fill your e-prescriptions, you must confirm your participation in the ALS Pharmacy Program. If you are not yet participating in the ALS Pharmacy Program, you will be notified that your consent is required before you can fill the e-prescription.

Not using the ALS app yet?
The current version of the ALS app is available to download free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
