Who can register in the ALS app?

Access is intended exclusively for people with a confirmed ALS diagnosis and their relatives. Interested parties can first install the ALS app on their cell phone or tablet and receive a temporary account. To confirm access, users must present a doctor’s letter clearly stating the ALS diagnosis. In most cases, the first page stating the diagnosis is sufficient. The doctor’s letter can either be provided directly via the ALS app by uploading a photo of the document, or alternatively by post. The outpatient team checks the submitted doctor’s letter – either the scan uploaded via the app or the document sent by post. After successful verification, the provisional account is confirmed and permanently activated. This verification ensures that the information and support offered by the ALS app is provided specifically for people with ALS and their relatives.
