Does it make sense to take Riluzole if the disease progresses anyway?

The effectiveness of riluzole is relatively low and not sufficient to prevent the progression of the disease and the increase in symptoms. Without riluzole treatment, the disease would progress even faster. Taking riluzole therefore makes medical sense – despite the increase in symptoms.
