The German Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF) supports APST in several research projects. Our research elucidates the possibilities of digitalization and of connecting people, services, products and processes in the health care sector via the Internet. Five projects have come to a successful conclusion (JPNP CarE-ALS, MND-NET, Mobil HybriCare, ServCare_ALS, and “Innovation Dramaturgy Following the Hero Principle”); two are ongoing (SmartHealthNet, ROBINA).

With their support of the project “Conception, Development, Operation of a Web-Based Care Center for People with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)“ the foundation furthers the nationwide provision of the APST portal service architecture (Ambulanzpartner.de) as well as the development of a specialized care network in ALS.
