History
The idea for Ambulanzpartner was born in 2009 in the outpatient clinic of Prof. Dr. Thomas Meyer and Prof. Dr. Christoph Münch at the Charité in Berlin. The two neurologists work in the outpatient care of severe neurological diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). A major barrier to success in their day-to-day outpatient work was the lack of coordination between patients, doctors, therapists, medical products and services. It was this lack of coordination that led to the creation of Ambulanzpartner. This innovative service for coordinating outpatient care has been in existence since 2010. The Internet portal Ambulanzpartner.de was developed in 2010 in cooperation with doctors, therapists, scientists and IT specialists. Ambulanzpartner.de has been online since March 2011 and has been undergoing agile further development ever since.
