Science prize from the German Neurological Society for the network of ALS outpatient clinics and AmbulanzPartner

During this year’s annual conference of the German Society of Neurology (DGN) in Munich, the DGN poster prize in the motor neuron and muscle diseases category was awarded to a consortium of university ALS outpatient clinics and AmbulanzPartner.

The award was given for the scientific contribution ‘Provision of aidsin ALS – analysis from 3 years of managed care‘, which was the result of many years of collaboration between the outpatient clinics for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at the university hospitals in Berlin, Bochum, Jena and Hanover and AmbulanzPartner.

The expert jury was impressed by the comprehensive and high-quality database on the internet-based provision of aids for ALS. The data analysis showed for the first time very high differences in the quality of care provided by health insurance companies for ALS in Germany.
