Ambulanzpartner receives research funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for a project on technical care support for people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In the ROBINA project, five companies are researching a new type of adaptive human-technology interaction concept together with ambulance partners. The aim of the project is to transfer specific assistance and basic care tasks to a technical assistance system.
The ROBINA concept consists of robotics to support the care of people with ALS who suffer from severe motor impairments. Ambulanzpartner is responsible for the hybrid IT and service architecture in the research alliance. This enables Ambulanzpartner to provide process management for the care robotics within the care network.
The ROBINA project is part of the research agenda for demographic change and the German government’s demographic strategy. The research project will be launched in April 2017 and will be funded for three years.
