What does “health services research” mean?
Health services research examines drugs, technologies, aids, nutritional therapies and ventilation procedures that are already in medical use.
ALS therapy is to be further optimized through a systematic evaluation of ongoing ALS treatment. Key questions are whether and how new treatment methods prove themselves in practice and how access to existing treatment options can be improved. The result will be medical guidelines and treatment recommendations on how these are selected and at what time and with what intensity they are optimally used. Healthcare research is also intended to ensure that new treatment options are used more quickly and effectively.
